Using Managed Response, employees at participating companies can help crisis managers keep track of them during emergency events. Once a staff member evacuates, they use the app to scan a code at a designated muster point which registers them in the database as being safely out of the building. Staff who have done this can then use their apps to scan the ID badges of other staff members who may not have a phone or the app installed. By doing this, a large number of people can quickly identify in the system who is outside at the mustering stations.
Staff who cannot evacuate because they are trapped can use the app to send a notification to the crisis management team that they are not able to evacuate, where they are located, how many other people are with them and whether or not they are in danger.
The app works with the Managed Response administrative tools which are available online through a web-site and also through a separate iPad application.
